OpenAI said Wednesday, September 23, 2026, that it is bringing voice-based agentic features to the ChatGPT mobile app, so users can trigger workflows such as drafting documents or summarizing emails from a phone, TechCrunch reported. The mobile rollout follows GPT-Live and later desktop integrations that let users complete Work-tab tasks or build in the Codex tab by voice. TechCrunch noted Anthropic has made mobile–desktop handoff easier and merged Cowork with chat, while OpenAI is still keeping chat and workspaces separate.
