Crusoe, the AI cloud and data-center developer that counts OpenAI, Microsoft, and Meta among its customers, has raised more than $3 billion in a round that values the company at roughly $30 billion, Bloomberg reported Thursday evening, citing people familiar with the situation.
Atreides Management and Valor Equity Partners co-led the round, which those people said has been finalized. Mubadala Capital, the alternative asset manager owned by Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala, is also participating. TechCrunch carried the same figures in a Thursday evening brief.
Bloomberg also reported that Crusoe recently secured a roughly $13 billion, five-year cloud contract to supply GPUs and AI infrastructure to quantitative trading firm Jane Street. TechCrunch repeated that customer win alongside the fundraise.
The new money lands about 10 months after Crusoe raised $1.38 billion at a $10 billion valuation last October, TechCrunch said. Axios had reported last month that Crusoe met with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley about a near-term IPO.
Crusoe started in 2018 as a flared-gas crypto miner and pivoted into hyperscale AI campuses for clients such as Oracle and OpenAI. The $30 billion mark puts it among the largest private AI infrastructure builders.
This is a capital-markets story about AI power and racks, not a model launch.
